Your Snow Test Says You’re Independent
You feel like something good will happen to you in the next few days.
You love to work, especially when work is creative. You have the makings of a successful artist.
You are an independent, individualistic person. You thrive when you’re doing your own thing.
Your biggest worry in your life is your health. You tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac.
When it comes time to relax, you have no problem letting go. You are already pretty relaxed as is!

It’s been awhile… November 18, 2008
It has been quite awhile since I have blogged. I dont know why I just havent felt much like doing it. So thought I would do a little update today.
Ive been really busy in the last few weeks. Had two birthdays in the last week or two. My daughter turned 17 this past Sunday and my son turned 15 the Sunday before. I can hardly believe that they are so old now. I mean I am almost a mother to a person who can legally vote!! We didnt do a whole lot for their birthdays just spent the day together as a family and had a cake which Johnny baked for them. Last night (11-17/Monday) we had a small bonfire here at the house and roasted marshmallows and someone apparently decided to call the fire dept. and report us for it. It takes alot of nerve to do that because everyone of our neighbors have bonfires regularly and much bigger ones then we do. We have called and reported them one time because they were blowing stuff up in the fire at 3 in the morning. Our fire was really no bigger then what you would have in a bbq grill when it is first lit. Maybe 4-5 ft tall and about 2 ft wide. Like I said it was pretty small. The fire dept. did come out but didnt do anything either time. I think that is because it is not against the law to have those small fires where we live. We sometimes in the winter dig a small hole and set up a grill over some oak logs and sit around and cook chicken breasts or hotdogs or something. It is alot of fun and it is one of the few times all three kids will get along without any of the typical squabbling. The kids have been begging to let them set up the tent and sleep outside one of these nights too. I cant do it because it really kills my back but they will probably get their way soon. So guess that has pretty much summed it up. Here are some layouts that I have finished since my last posting.

this week so far and a few new layouts October 28, 2008
This weekend was kinda a blur. It always seems to fly by so quickly and by Monday I am wondering where the time went. We did alot though so maybe that is why the time always seems to fly by. On Saturday we made a trip to this lake where the deer are always supposed to be out and they are really tame so I was kinda hoping to get some pictures. However that didnt happen because the deer were not anywhere to be seen. Might make the trip really early in the morning next weekend though. They are sure to be there then. After that long drive we headed over to Old Town and checked out some of the cars. Didnt stay for the cruise so we probably missed alot of them. There were mostly old Chevy’s so I was not to upset we left early LOL. Only one old Dodge and two AMC’s. So after that we just headed home and watched a movie.
Sunday came and we headed to the mall and checked out some rings because Crystal wants a class ring but she doesn’t want a ring that looks like a class ring and the ones the school offered were super expensive. WHile she is paying for it herself I am trying to teach her to shop around to get her best deal. The class ring from the company teh school is contracted with was 450 dollars. The one she picked at the jewelry store was 120. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! She was thrilled. We went to the park afterwards and took some pictures and walked around. Had a reallly good time there. Later that night after we had all went to bed Nick got up and was obviously sleepwalking. I was asleep on the couch and he started to walk outside!!! I am absolutely terrififed to think of what might have happened if I had not woken up when I did to stop him.
Monday Johnny took the day off of work and we went to Leu Gardens. It is this really super pretty garden near us that has the largest rose garden in the U.S. Ohhhh how I wish I could live in the middle of that place. It is so beautiful!! I wish I took better photos to show just how gorgeous it is!!
Today was pretty uneventful didnt really do much but TRY to scrap a layout. Just one…I have not done anything in a couple days. Ive tried but everything just SUCKS. I did manage to finish one but I dont know if I really like it.

Saturday outing… October 18, 2008
We went to pick up the kids at their grandparents this morning and headed over to a car show in Baldwin Park. It was a pretty nice day but kinda still on the warm side. Crystal called her boyfriend to come with us and he met us on the way there and she rode the rest of the way with him. It was the first time we have met him and he seems like a nice kid. Alot better then her last boyfriend who never wanted to go anywhere and wouldnt look at either me or her dad and rarely spoke to any of us. Saw some nice cars at the show and they had a doggie costume contest/parade. This little chiuaua won who was dressed like a bumble bee. There was a beautiful Great Pyrenees there as well as an English Sheepdog. Ohhh how I love those two dogs. Both have long fur and are stocky dogs. The Great Pyrenees was HUGE!!! Like a small horse big LOL. So watched the parade and then went and looked at more cars. Took lots of pictures. Here are a few…
Well I have a few layouts to post but first just thought Id blog a little. I was hoping Johnny would come home today and tell me they got his supplement all straightened out but he didnt. The supplement is for a car he fixed and his boss has been trying to get paid on that job since September. It is kind of depressing because he only flagged 15 hours this week. Just to give you an idea he averages about 11 dollars an hour 😦 Really sucks. So then after Johnny gets home my sister calls me and she starts going on about her lovely ex-husband. She seems to think he is this awful person but really she is kinda neurotic herself. This time she is mad that he picked up their daughter from school at 10:30 instead of at her release time because he wanted to do something for her birthday. She said she is going to report him for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Whatever…she is just sooo petty sometimes its no wonder they split up. She says her daughter does not want to talk to his dad…she told me she loves them both but she is tired of being questioned and them arguing all the time. Ughhh just really frustrating listening to that when Im already stressed out over my own issues. I mean if she had a legetimate complaint I would be more then willing to listen and maybe even offer advice but I am so tired of listening to her complain about every single thing he does. She chose to marry him and have a child with him so really she should just get over it. OK so enough of my rants LOL here are my layouts.

my weekend… October 13, 2008
Monday came way to early this week. I love having Johnny home on the weekend even if we dont really do anything. This weekend we stayed home all day Saturday. We went up to the store to get dinner and a movie. Got Sex and the City. I had to wait til Nick went to bed because I kinda figured it would be a little to much for him LOL. I was right and thankful he had went to bed. It was a pretty good movie although I dont really agree with either of the two major storylines with Big/Carrie or Steve/Miranda. Miranda has always been my least favorite character. She defenitely kept up with that on the movie. Her character is just so judgey/bossy/up-tight. Carrie kinda seemed like she got so caught up in everything she wanted she forgot about Big. All in all though it was a fairly good movie.
Sunday we got up and went to pick up the kids at their grandparents and went to go get pictures of the kids at the punpkin patch. They were not set up yet so we didnt get the pictures there but went to The Enchanted Forest….it is a place where we go hiking sometimes. Got some nice pictures and went hiking for a little bit. Then drove back home and dropped Crystal and Nickolas off. Went to Barnes and Noble to get a book for Crystal. They didnt have it though. Nearest one was over 25 miles away and wouldnt you know it she expected us to go get it? Not gonna happen. The store we went to did have the book she needed just not the printing. It is ridiculous how picky the teachers are. I told her to tell her teacher we are not going to run around to 20 stores trying to find one or make a 50 or 60 mile round trip to get one either. Nooo way. After that we went to the grocery store to get some groceries and then headed home. We were home before dark so Johnny and Matt got some yardwork done. Matt cleared some more weeds and trimmed some of the trees. The yard is really starting to look nice. They had some of the smalled trees drying out to use them for smoking this year. I love when he cooks the chicken over some oak. Tastes so good.
So that was pretty much my weekend. I did a layout of my niece Rhi. Started to do one of the kids but just felt kinda blah about it so I closed it and figured id sit on it for a few days to see if anything else inspires me in hte meantime. Maybe a new challenge or template. So closing it up for the day here is my newest layout using Graphically Grunged by Traci Reed:
